Mechanical punch clocks are going away. The newer electronic clocks keep time when the power is off, they automatically update for daylight savings, leap year, and month changes

This is the Amano PIX-21 Portable clock, Made in USA, plugs in to the power outlet of motor vehicles.  This is the best alternative if you still need a physical punch clock on-site.

TimePilot:  Software, with the option of going "Web Hosted."  Change the batteries once a year.
